I’ve tuned the guitar using a meter and the meter indicates everything is tuned. Is something wrong? I am a guitar newbie.

Only on string 4,5, and 6 and it is an electric guitar. If I use my thumb to press the string down it will sound clear but I have to press down really hard. Is there a way to fix that or is it just my guitar?
