I need a capo for my classical guitar, but i’m worried a trigger capo won’t be very good. Many seem to be curved and i’m thinking it wont be able to press down all the strings on the very flat fretboard my classical guitar has.
Any used a trigger capo on a classical guitar?
Here is the one I have in mind:http://www.stringsdirect.co.uk/Catalogue…
or should I buy one specifically made for the flat fretboards of classical guitars?
Thanks

Well actually I know the answer… As i get higher up the fretboard of my fairly new accoustic guitar the pitch seems to to get slightly higher than what it should be such that by the time I reach C on the bottom E, its almost a C#. My guitar isnt the best but its OK (£150+) Is this a common problem and is there a way to get it fixed?

What could I do to replace it? Could I just play it without the capo? Should I tune it differently or something?

Rob is right – you’re not in any particular key. All you’ve done is capo up one and a half tones. So whatever key position you intend to play in, just add one and a half tones to it. So…
G position becomes A#
C position becomes Eb (or D#)
D position becomes F
…and so on.

I bought a new capo for my guitar and it’s started leaving light marks on the fretboard when I use it. Is this a bad thing, and if so, how can i prevent it??

Ok so i was wondering when playing guitar, lets say i want to play an F , do i put my finger on the third fret 4th string or finger on the 4th fret? Some websites have picture of the notes on the guitar fretboard so it goes for example on the 6th string: E ESHARP F FSHARP G GSHARP and so on but when we play an F on the sixth string do i put my finger on the 1st fret or the second fret. The more i looked into it it seems to me you only pay attention to the sharps and flats when using a capo and then when in open tune you ignore them so then the notes on the 6th string are E F G A B C and so on. I am so lost. I am so confused. Anyway when i put a capo on the first fret i understand all the open strings go up half a pitch so then it Fsharp Asharp Dsharp Gsharp Bsharp Esharp. So if am to play an Aflat, E, and E flat with a capo on the first fret where do i place my fingers. Last but not least when i have my guitar on open tunning so with no capo, all the notes on the fretboard like so :http://www.heavymetaltravel.com/Images/g…
ok so for example the A chord i have on finger on fret 2 string 2, one finger fret 2 string three and one finger fret 2 string four.So the fretted notes in this chord are c,a and f?
anyways thanks in advance to all those who can somehow help me.

I have a flat fretboard, steel string accoustic guitar. Do I need to buy a capo specifically for a steel stringed? I want one that I can change positions quickly.
