By that, I mean, if they can teach or tell me how to pick out a G-note off the fretboard (like sheetmusic, not tabs, for guitar). So, if you could answer, please do. Thanks.
Please help!!! Also, we need to know what chord it is if you play 1st string, 2nd fret; 2nd and 3rd string, 4th fret. This is for electric guitar.
what are the extra 2 for? can you even reach to play them effectively?
I’ve been playing classical guitar for some time now, but only recently started using actual music instead of tablature. I also play the violin. Being a monophonic instrument, you usually can sight read music pretty fast as you take it one note at a time. On the guitar on the other hand you have to find the precise note on the fretboard which the music is refering to and you have to play more than one note at a time a lot of the time… you also have to set up your fingering (RH & LH) to prepare for coming sections etc. So my question is…. does any really sight read Guitar music and not “study” it?? I mean is it reasonable to want to look at a score and play it through the first time you see it? (because this fairly easy with the violin)
been playing for about a year now and its starting to get irritating
i’m looking specifically for one that relates chords on a piano to a guitar fretboard. if that makes any sense. for me it is pretty easy fingering out most chords on the piano but since i don’t know guitar too well i would just like to find a site where i could punch in a chord name so i can see the relations of that same chord on piano and guitar. i just basically want to learn how to form actual chords on a guitar using the knowledge i have on piano. yes, i can look up chord diagrams for guitar but it wouldn’t really tell me how they are formed this way. i may be confusing myself but if any one gets what i’m trying to do i would appreciate any help. thank you in advance.
I really want to get a better understanding of the fretboard and be able to improvise better so i have been practicing my scales.. just wonderin if anyone out there has any good tips i could keep in mind while i practice?

I mean good looking like a Gibson Firebirdish or Fender Telecasterish but no Strat styles.It doesnt have to be a telecaster or firebird though Plus is there a way to special order a Firebird with 24 frets and a tremolo because all the pictures i saw was 22 frets.
I seem to have problems playing notes on the fretboard, my fingers don’t seem to press down hard enough or I make no sound at all. To give me some reassurance did anybody else have problems with it?
I started the electric guitar a few days ago. (I know practice makes prefect etc)
