what elsedo i need to practice to be an excelent guitar player so far i am perfecting my
strumming technique and barre chords also trying to memorise the whole fretboard and 300 basic chords.

There are SO many scales to learn, but the ones that work the best, sound the best, and play the best are: Major, minor, minor pentatonic, major pentatonic, “blues”(minor pentatonic with a flat 5th added,) dorian mode, mixolydian mode, locrian mode(for death metal – VERY satanic sounding,) phrygian mode, lydian mode, harmonic minor, harmonic major, etc. There are also cultural “scales,” like Chinese pentatonic, Arabic, Jewish, Indian, etc. However, the list of scales above are the most common and most useful. Hope I helped!
There are a lot of different scales….
There is:
major
natural minor
harmonic minor
melodic minor
dorian
phrgyian
lydian
mixolydian
locrian
Pentatonic
Octatonic
whole scale
chromatic scale
“blues scale”
plus a lot more……
A lot of these scales are built of the major and minor scales but some are their own entirely…..good luck
Basically we have 2 kinds of scales the major and the minor.
In major we have, C, D, E, F, G, A, B, Db, Ab, Gb, And so on.
And like wise you have in the minors.
